Virtual puzzle hunt through oswestry

We have hidden some virtual "treasure" somewhere in the town - can you find it?

On the left is a gallery of images taken from Google Street View.

A sign or display has been deliberately blurred. This is roughly ringed in red. Just occasionally this is replaced with a pale blue outline if there is an existing red background.

Examine each image carefully. Look for clues in the image to find the location in Google Street View.

Look to see if there is a landmark such as a church tower, a well known shop sign or logo of a bank which may help identify the location. In the bottom left there is a panel which might indicate a street name or a road number.

Then find the appropriate letters in the blurred sign as indicated in the panel in the top corner.

So if you find the sign reads St. Mary's Church and the panel says letters 4 & 8, you take the letters A and C. Make a note of these.

Find all the letters, then re-arrange to find where the "treasure" has been hidden. It will be somewhere in the same town visible on Street View/Google Maps.

If the question asks for a number to be obtained from the sign - use the corresponding letter in the alphabet where A=1, Z=26

Each virtual puzzle hunt using Google Street View is a rewarding journey through the towns of Britain.
